Utah Off Roading Trail Details, Ratings & Descriptions

  • When you feel like getting away from the hustle and bustle of life, nothing helps you relax more than taking a ride out to explore one of the North Rim trails. At least that’s what we here at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive do.

The North Rim part of the Grand Canyon receives less visitors and is therefore less crowded. There are also plenty of hidden gems to discover along the way, not to mention splendid scenery to gaze at.

  • Southern Utah is a treasure trove of scenic trails and historic sites. You can easily plan a weekend trip with one of your friends or organize a family outing that everyone will enjoy. If you don’t have a couple of friends ready, you can tag along on our trail rides as we explore this fascinating part of our country.

  • Whenever the craving for a little exploring and adventure hits us, we at Dixie 4 Wheel Drive head out to explore the surrounding area. Since we moved base to St. George Utah, we’ve found out that the area has more fascinating trails than Moab. These are ideal for scenic drives where you work on your off-roading skills away from huge and demanding obstacles. Overall, such trail rides make for a fantastic afternoon out with a group of friends.

One such area to explore is the Tar Cave and Marshmallow Wash.

  • A great way to spend a weekend is to round up some off-roading buddies and head out into the desert to look for old, abandoned mines that dot the area. The Nevada desert has quite a large number of these and is a favorite destination for our trail rides.

  • One of the best things about the trails around St. George is that they always promise adventure. While some have remnants of Native American settlements, others tell the story of this corner of southern Utah. We encourage avid off-roaders who’d like to find out the history of this area to join us on one of our trail rides.

  • Whenever we feel like rediscovering or showing people some of the treasures to be found in this scenic Southern Utah wonderland, we plan a trip to Flag Point through Kanab. This is one of the favorite destinations we visit as part of our southern Utah trail rides and is a hit with both new and experienced off-roaders.

  • Off Road Trail Spotlight: Devils Cove - Mesquite – Nevada Trails

Off-roading doesn’t mean you have to negotiate tough, trails or obstacles all the time. It can also mean heading out on a scenic trail and enjoying the breathtaking views and historic landmarks of an area. This is a great way to relax, unwind and recharge from the stress of your normal life.

  • As we’ve mentioned before, the area around St. George has plenty of off-roading trails waiting to be explored. These range from challenging terrain full of obstacles, suitable for experienced off-roaders to scenic trails that are perfect for a relaxing drive with friends and family.

  • Avid off-roaders looking for new trails to explore outside Utah will certainly enjoy the Logandale Trail System. Located in Moapa Valley in Nevada, this 21,000-acre trail system offers visitors the chance to see incredible scenery, rare plants, and animals. This area is considered sacred to the Native Americans and you can see some of the petroglyphs left by the early inhabitants of the area.

  • The trails around St. George are some of the most fascinating in the southwest. While those in Moab are more popular thanks to the rock-crawling excitement they offer, St. George trails have more variety. Here you can find scenic trails packed full of beautiful scenery lending itself to weekend rides and camping out. You can also find challenging trails to pit your rig against, giving you some of that adrenalin rush that some off-roaders crave.
